Thanks for swim day

To the editor:

On behalf of Sutton Elementary School, I want to thank the Mat-Su Health Foundation for a generous grant that provided funds to support our Family Fun and Swim Day on Feb. 7 at the Palmer Pool. We provided some essential cold-water safety teaching for our students and their families, a swimming activity that all could enjoy, and a light, nutritious lunch following the swim. A few lucky participants also won door prizes aimed at promoting family fun. Thanks also to our Sutton parents, the Palmer Pool staff, and everyone else who helped to make this a great event for our kids and families.

Thanks again to the Mat-Su Health Foundation for their partnership in the important job of helping Valley families to strive toward healthier lifestyles.
