Thanks for the help during family sadness

To the editor:

We would like to thank the community of Wasilla for all the support during the loss of our brother and my son Craig. I would especially like to thank the Holiday stores for all the donations and Debbie Hildabrand for donating air miles that allowed Craig’s brothers Cameron Olsen, Ryan and Wade Benedict to attend his services in Oregon.

The funds raised through the area, fire departments, the Meadow Lakes Post Office, Tailgaters and Meadow Lakes Elementary School. A special thanks to Lyndia Hohn and family and Sambo and friends who went out of their way to help support us in our time of grief and sad, tragic loss of Craig. We would also like to thank Angel Whitney and Linda McAlpin for arranging a special celebration of life for everyone in Alaska who could not attend the services in Coos Bay, Ore. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts with so much love, forever in our prayers to you all, Angela, Cameron, Ryan and Wade. We would like to share with you that we had to make a very quick decision about other lives that could be saved. After Craigy died, his corneas in his eyes were donated to the Lions Eye Bank of Oregon and they contacted us through a letter we received and let us know that two people are able to have sight because of Craigy’s corneas — a selfless act of Love. Please be an organ donor.
