As a volunteer for Project Homeless Connect Mat-Su 2012, I wish to thank the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman, and especially Robin Minard, for going the extra mile and promoting this event, which took place Jan. 25 at the Curtis D. Menard Memorial Sports Complex in Wasilla.
By placing our event on their reader board both before and during the week of the event, and giving us front-page coverage just before our event, the Frontiersman helped make Project Homeless Connect a huge success. More than 125 volunteers participated, and our guest attendees, totaling about 190, were a 52 percent increase over our first event last year.
Truly, the Frontiersman’s support helped bring this about.
Thank you, Frontiersman and Robin Minard, for your service in helping those in need in our community.
