Thanks for the memories.

We made it! Today is the final weigh-in day and I’ve heard from several contestants on their successes through the program; I’m very happy for all.

I approached the scale with some trepidation this morning, although I had a general idea of my weight loss. I was so hoping I would hit my goal, but I fell just short: 29.2 pounds. I missed by less than a pound, but I’ll take it!

Reflecting back on the past 3 months, I realized how much I learned about health, nutrition and exercise. I will be forever grateful to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center for providing the pre-contest physical and all of the nutritional information. The physical was a wake-up call as to how far I had let my health slip but, fortunately, it was not too late to make changes before the small things became major health issues.

I don’t think I’ll ever forget Brutal Bill, the personal strainer at the AT&T Sports Center. As much as he pushed me, and for all of the evil thoughts that ran through my mind as we worked out, I know I am better for having worked with him.

To Charlene: You’ve been a mainstay on this site since the start of the program. You are the most faithful blogger I’ve ever seen! I’m glad you’re staying the course in the face of the set back you experienced with the Girl Scout cookies. I wish you the best of luck as you continue down the path to better health and hope you’ll drop me an email from time-to-time to update me on your progress.

I extend the same invitation to all of you who are continuing on this quest.

I’ve had some inquiries today asking about other people’s weight loss and I’m just as much in the dark as the rest of you. We will pick up the results tomorrow and start tallying from there. We will notify the top 10 by late Thursday or early Friday and extend a personal invitation for those to attend the finale on Monday, April 14^th where we will announce the winners live.
