On behalf of the American Lung Association in Alaska and Breathe Free Mat-Su, I’d like to thank Thrive Mat-Su for providing scholarships for Mat-Su residents to attend the 2015 Alaska Tobacco Control Alliance Summit in Anchorage, May 20 to 22. The annual ATCA Summit is a fantastic learning opportunity for health advocates and anyone else interested in reducing the burden of tobacco use and secondhand smoke in communities across Alaska.
By allowing more Mat-Su residents to attend the summit, the Thrive scholarships will help strengthen local tobacco prevention and control efforts and help Breathe Free Mat-Su create a healthier community through clean air and tobacco-free environments.
