To the editor:
Another year of sports activities ended last month, capped by the State Track & Field Meet at Palmer High School. Many volunteers and contributors help to make these activities possible throughout the year and we should all take a moment to thank them personally.
Area businesses can be patronized, especially Subway of Mat-Su and Pioneer Pizza. You see these same business names all year long as major contributors for many of the local school activities. We appreciate your support!
To the many spectators who complained at the high gate price: the gate goes to ASAA. It seems like a high price to pay to watch our athletes whose event might only be 11 seconds! We don't usually hear too much complaining at state basketball or football games and this is no different.
Again, we thank all the coaches, teachers, volunteers and contributors for making the two-day event run smoothly.
