Thanks to volunteers

To the editor:

The Colony High School cross country running and ski teams would like to thank the many organizations and individuals who assisted in the success of the Government Peak Run on June 6.

We would like to thank acting Fire Chief Bruce Axtell and the Fishhook Fire Station for permitting the runners and spectators to park adjacent to the Fishhook Fire Station, Lamar Anderson and MASCOT did a great job in shuttling runners and spectators to and from the parking area.

Finally we thank the many volunteers who assisted in registration and especially Darin Markwardt, Stacy Edwards and Erin Skvorc who did the timing and recording at the finish on top of Government Peak.
