The annual Anchorage Chamber Music Festival kicks off July 24 and runs through Aug. 4 at spots throughout Anchorage

This year’s event features a number of changes and upgrades, according to event founder and organizer Christine Harada-Li.

“We're going back where chamber music started — in the intimate setting of a living room. We have a total of four house concerts during the series,” Harada-Li explained. “At the house concerts: Audience can mingle with friends over drinks and hors d'oeuvres, enjoy music that have awed listeners for centuries and get to know the artists who travel across the world to be part of this festival. Debut at the Alaska Airmen Association where we will be performing one of Vivaldi's most famous works, The Four Seasons. Concert programs have a variety of repertoire, from Bach, Vivaldi, Corelli, Brahms, Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, Prokofiev, and great contemporary music by notable composers of today. In addition to performing, artists will teach 40 students at the Chamber Intensive.”
