The Christian’s faith must be in Jesus Christ, and the word of God; the word of God is unchanging.
Christians need to know the word so they can stand strong in the Lord in these days. Each believer needs to be in a good Bible believing church. One that believes in the power of God. Get under good Bible teachings that will help believers live victoriously. Believers should not even entertain teachings that are not scriptural and are full of doubt. It doesn’t take much to hear teachings that don’t line up with the word of God.
The Bible says there will be false teachers in the last days. It seems every time we turn around someone is spewing something that is contrary to the word of God. Faulty teachers trying to gain followers of their theology, and in some cases, they seem to be succeeding, but there is no life in the darkness of false teaching.
Romans 16:17 “… watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people’s faith by teaching things that are contrary to what you have been taught. Stay away from them.” NLT
The Bible appears to be foolish to some, their theological ranting about their beliefs and unbeliefs is depressive. Atheist, agnostic and doubters all try to understand God’s word with their head and will tell you this or that, but nowhere in the word of God, does it tell you to go by your senses. It says to go by the word of God, Christians walk by faith not by sight. Just because someone is prolific in writing does not make them a Bible teacher. They may be elegant with words and education; although helpful, it takes more to expound on the truth of the Bible than just education, it takes the Holy Spirit within the believer to bring life and truth into Bible teaching.
The word of God is unchanging, that is why Christians are called believers. We believe the word of God was inspired by holy men of God moved by the Holy Spirit.
We must fill ourselves with faith filled words, and that is just the opposite of words of doubt and unbelief, which will rob us from the blessings of God.
Christianity has been called the great confession. When we make that commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ, repent, and believe God raised him from the dead and make that heartfelt confession with our mouth, we are saved. Then the Holy Spirit comes and abides in us.
There is only one way to God the father, that is through Jesus Christ. There is no other way (John 14:6).
I know that statement “no other way” makes some people mad, but that is what the Bible says, the infallible word of God. That is why it is so important to tell the world about Jesus’s saving grace.
A minister tells of the time years ago, when he was in Asia. He led a man to the Lord. Afterward the new convert, asked the minister how long he had known about God. The minister told him that his father and grandfather had known the Lord. The new convert said his father looked for God all of his life without finding him, why didn’t they come and tell his father?
God wants the believer to tell the world about Jesus’ saving grace.
Mark 16:15-16, says “go into the world and preach the Gospel…”.
Each Christian should sow God’s Word.Your world may be next door or across town, tell people about Jesus. Don’t be timid.
Mark 16:17-18 “those that believe…” Tells about the believer that is bold in the Lord. Be bold for Jesus, you have to have “faith to believe” to move in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Thousands are receiving Christ daily. Why? Because Christians are preaching the gospel, telling people about Jesus. We should step out and touch someone. Maybe just a kind word or a little help where needed, do this in the name of Jesus, and be blessed.
How many tracts have you passed out lately? You may say that’s not your thing. When was the last time you told someone about Jesus?
Remember, we are Christ’s ambassadors here on earth.
You may say that preaching is the pastor’s or a missionary’s job. Yes, but they are also to equip God’s people to do his work and to build up the body of Christ.(Ephesians 4:11-12).
We are to do Jesus work here on earth, maybe not behind a pulpit, but in good deeds and encouraging words in Christ.
The Word of God in Mark 11:23 Jesus says,
“I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, be removed and cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatsoever he says.”
As we look at this scripture it says what you speak, and believe in your heart (your spirit) that what you speak will come to pass.
Did you notice it doesn’t say a thing about the head, what you think, because the human brain cannot rationalize it.
Faith to believe is of the heart, your spirit.
Faith to believe God’s word is given, because the Holy Spirit abides in the Christian. We have been given a measure of faith. Nonbelievers can not understand the word of God with their intellect alone, because God’s ways are not the world’s ways.
Those who are led of God are children of God. A definite thing about a child of God, they believe His word.
You have to choose truth, the Bible. You make that decision.
