Let’s replace the elephant and the donkey as the symbols of the Republican and Democratic parties. We’ll use the much more appropriate symbols of a dog and a pony. Which would be which doesn’t really matter in the modern day political dog and pony show. For those not knowing the difference between most elected Democrats and most elected Republicans, I will explain. Democrats, in general, like to liberally spend funds on increasing government. The difference is that Republicans, in general, like to conservatively invest public funds on increasing government.
