The Right Rev. Mark Lattime, Episcopal bishop of Alaska, visited St. David’s Episcopal Church in Wasilla June 3 and installed The Rev. Ann C. Whitney as Rector.

Previously, Whitney served as interim rector for more than two years and as a deacon in the church for more than 12 years.

Bishop Lattime also confirmed five new members of the church: Janet and James Afcan; Kayla Seutter, daughter of Carl and Jennifer Seutter; and Kelly and Michael Shepler, all of Wasilla.

St. David’s Episcopal Church was founded in 1977 and is one of 50 Episcopal congregations in Alaska.
