The truth in the Bible, yesterday, today and forever

The truth of the Bible is all around us it is exciting for a Christian to study the Bible and realized the truths that God speaks to us through His word.

I hear people say negative things about the Word of God, but for myself, as a Christian, I see no negatives in the Bible, I see no contradictions, I see no untruths.

I was reading about an evangelist of 120 years ago, which made a statement that is true even today.

“Some of you do not understand the working of the Spirit; you are not near enough to God to know it is the work of the Spirit.”

I don’t believe one could say anything negative about the word of God in some of the towns where most everybody was born again after Charles Finney, a lawyer that became a evangelist, brought the salvation message forward 150 years ago.

The word of God says all have faith; in another place it says all men don’t have faith. Those that don’t know the Bible say there is a contradiction. When the word of God says all men have faith it is talking to the children of God, the born-again Christian, and when it says all men do not have faith is talking to the world because unbelievers do not have faith to believe the word of God, which is the inspired word of God.

Saving faith is there for anyone that opens their heart to the Lord Jesus Christ. When one accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit will come and abide in them. Then faith to believe the word of God is there for them, small or great faith depends on the believer and to the extent they take in the word of God, because “faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God”.

Those that reject the Bible as the inspired word of God if they say they’re Christians rob themselves of faith to believe for the blessings of God. That would be kind of like a person claiming to be a horse jockey that had never been on a horse.

1 Corinthians 2:14 says “the natural man received not the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness unto him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned”.

We are a spirit, we have a soul and we live in a body, the spiritual man and the natural man are separate although through the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit a Christian will understand the spiritual things.

The wisdom of this world, intellect, and science can never understand the spiritual things of God. That is why to be born again spiritually, the word of God says we are made a new creation, so we can understand God’s word.

One can say they are a follower of Jesus of Nazareth, but that doesn’t make them a Christian, one must take the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and believe that God raised him from the dead and repent. The Bible was written by men of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, if one rejects the Bible’s truth then how would we know about Jesus Christ and everlasting life?

Jesus, the Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin and as a man, walked among the people and taught that God, the father, loved them so much that he sent Jesus to take away the sins of the world, only believe.
