Hooks 4 Heroes Pike Fishing EventHooks 4 Heroes is hosting a Pike Fishing Event at Horseglass Lake, located off 4102 Horseshoe Road, Big Lake. There will be 15 canoes in addition to rowboats and kayaks available for use. Friday Fling

Palmer’s iconic market, the Friday Fling is free to enter and a family-friendly environment. Every week is a chance to shop for locally grown produce, handmade goods, and fresh meals from food trucks. Plus, there’s always a variety of activities and musical acts at every Fling.

Back to School Clothing GiveawayFrontline Mission is holding their annual Back to School Clothing Giveaway Friday, Aug. 7 and Saturday, Aug. 8 from 1 to 4 p.m. This free event was created to support local students in need, but it’s open to all ages and sizes.

First Friday with local artist Michelle CorneliusAward-winning Wasilla artist Michelle Cornelius’ artwork is being featured in the taproom throughout the month of August. Cornelius will be in the taproom at the Bearpaw River Brewing Company Friday, Aug. 7. Loco Mamas Tamales and Catering will be serving meals onsite as well.

Music And Instrument FairWood & Wire is hosting an open house for any and all students, parents and players interested in learning about their program.
