This is the year to vote

To the editor:

If you haven’t heard or felt it yet, it is time to recognize the truth in the statement that this election, like no other in American history, is a defining moment.

This is the year to overwhelm the polls and make the firm statement that we are united and determined in our appreciation of the opportunities and freedoms assured us by our Constitution and Bill of Rights. This is the year to demonstrate that we are Americans, and we are determined and proud to be able to be directly involved in deciding how we will be governed.

On Tuesday, Nov. 6, please do whatever you need to do to cast your ballot. Better yet, vote today. There are ballots available in government offices every day until Nov. 6. Grab the opportunity before you and help us all demonstrate our peaceful participation in determining our nation’s future.

While you’re at it, grab your neighbors and take them to the polls, too!
