With less than two weeks until jolly old St. Nicholas (aka Santa Claus) is set to take flight in his sleigh, he will be flying into Denali Harley-Davidson, but not with his reindeer, instead making his journey via helicopter.
The visit is all part of the annual Denali Harley-Davidson Helicopter Santa Toy Drive event this Saturday, December 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Families can bring a new, unwrapped toy (valued at $20 or more) to sign their child up for a free kid’s helicopter ride voucher. Children must be present at the event on December 13 to receive the voucher and take to the skies with Santa Claus for a festive winter flight to fill their children with wonder and safely land back at the Denali Harley Davidson parking lot.
In addition to the helicopter rides, Santa Claus will also be checking his list twice, visiting kids and taking pictures on his Harley with children and their families. There will be a free hot cocoa bar, and kids can learn and interact with sled dogs from AK Sled Dog Tours.
The toys collected will be donated to the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots. Last year, the program distributed over 37,000 toys here in Alaska, supporting 23,784 children. All donations go specifically to the children of Alaska.
“Help us fill a motorcycle crate with toys and make a difference for families in our community.”
The Denali Harley-Davidson team hosts this community event with local partners and motorcycle clubs to help locals spread the Christmas spirit by having a good time for a good cause.
This fundraising event is designed to collect toys to help Valley children have a merry Christmas. Denali Harley coordinates with the Biker Elves, a local group of motorcycle riders who collect toys each year for the Mat-Su Special Santa program.
