I am extremely excited to see Skeetawk finally open this December. I love to ski and to be able to have a lift so close is wonderful. I have high hopes for Skeetawk and hope it goes places. As much as I am excited about Skeetawk I do have my concerns, I am worried that there will be too many people. Since it is the only lift in Wasilla it will probably get overcrowded fast; an example of this is the Hilltop in Anchorage. It is a nice hill and all, but there is only one lift, and it is extremely slow. You probably spend more time on the lift waiting to ski than actually skiing. I am worried that the popularity and newness Skeetawk it will make it a pain to be waiting in line and on the lift, and it would be easier to just ski at Mile 16 or Paradise. I am hoping that when it gets into phase 2 or 3 that it will be the prime skiing location in anchorage and the valley.
