BIG LAKE — Drunk driving on a suspended license in a stolen pickup with stolen plates landed an Anchorage man in a Mat-Su Valley jail Friday. According to Alaska State Troopers, at 8:38 p.m., troopers pulled over a 1988 Chevy pickup on a trail off of Henry Aaron Way.
The driver, Douglas Watson, 32, was arrested for drunken driving and driving on a suspended license.
“Investigation revealed the license plates on the vehicle had been stolen off of another vehicle in Anchorage and the truck itself was also stolen from Anchorage,” according to the press release.
Watson was jailed at the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility on $5,000 bail and ordered to find someone to watch him before he can be released. Jail records Monday afternoon showed he was still incarcerated.
