Throwing out my Final Four

As the Elite Eight is carved down to a field of four, most college basketball fans are wadding up their printed brackets — those pieces of paper they’ve kept close for the last two weeks, circling winners and crossing out losers — to heave a shot into the trash can in the corner of their living room.

But my bracket’s long from busted.

Three of my Final Four squads will hit the court at Ford Field in Detroit this weekend. I just had to throw that out.

Just for the record, I’ve got Michigan State over UConn and North Carolina over Villanova in the semis, and UNC over the Spartans in the final.
