Thunderstocks points leader wins again

WASILLA — Keith Jones continued to dominate the field with another win in the thunderstock class during racing at North Star Speedway on Saturday.

Jones bested runner-up Jim Langland on North Star’s asphalt oval to win the feature race. Gene Smith finished third.

Aaron Creech beat the top two drivers in the legends class, according to the season points standings, en route to a first place finish in a feature race. Season points leader Jeff Landrum finished second and Mike Thomas was third.

Carly Meacham (bandoleros), Jim Mendard (mini stocks) and Larry Theobald (baby grands) also won races.

Racing resumes Saturday with GCI night at North Star Speedway. All GCI customers will be admitted free.
