House District 9 includes Palmer-Fishhook, Farm Loop, Soapstone, Buffalo Mine, Sutton, Chickaloon, Glacier View, Delta, Glennallen, Valdez and Whittier. Our current representative frequently misses legislative votes, accomplishes little and campaigns with money mostly from the Lower 48. A do little representative, funded with Outside dollars ($15,000+), who is missing in action simply isn’t up to the job. It is time for a change. We need someone who is an independent thinker, is result oriented, can work across the aisle, and at the very least will show up for work. Bill Johnson is that guy. Lifelong Alaskan, born and raised in rural District 9, hard working, former wildland firefighter, teacher, blue collar worker, white collar worker, and educated (PhD). Unlike his opponent Bill can think critically, problem solve, effectively work on the budget, help prevent us from driving off the looming economic cliff, keep his constituents informed as he seeks their input, work reasonably with other legislators and think for himself as he makes hard decisions. Bill Johnson, the best candidate to lead us in House District 9.
