The Usibelli Coal Mine Inc. does not promote health and well being in the state of Alaska. The proposed Wishbone Hill Coal Strip Mine is a direct threat to the community and endangers people and animal health, our rivers, and the places we recreate.
The company refuses to acknowledge the concerns of the people most directly impacted by the project. As a property owner I believe the Mat-Su Valley should never be the place for open-pit coal strip mining. In the day of finding new and alternative ways of energy, Alaska should be at the forefront.
