Time to block Road to Nowhere

Since becoming McCain’s running mate, Governor Palin has repeated many times — to huge rounds of applause — she canceled the Bridge to Nowhere. However, the Road to Nowhere, an equally wasteful, pork-barrel project, is still slated to be built.

At least the Bridge to Nowhere would have connected Ketchikan to Gravina Island’s 50 inhabitants. The only inhabitants on the other end of the Juneau Road are a few moose and some seasonal waterfowl. Each project would have cost around $400 million and each received a federal earmark.

The governor needs to protect her credibility by canceling the Juneau Road before the liberal media uses it against her.
