I want to ask Alaska’s legislators to take a proactive approach to autism. I have personally wrote several letters asking our legislators to aid in proposing legislation mandating insurance companies to cover speech and occupational therapy for people with autism.
I have received several replies wishing me good luck but no one willing to help.
I am asking Alaska’s people to start sending letters to your legislators; we are much stronger as a group. Alaska’s legislators, please help your constituents.
We need to take a stand. Our autistic community needs these very basic services.
