Lately there have been many changes in traffic along the Palmer-Wasilla Highway, but at Colony High and Colony Middle, where the traffic is very congested, officials need to put in lights for more than one reason. Some students have to cross, on foot, across the busy street. With no lights the traffic makes this difficult to do safely. Heavy car traffic does not make it safe for them to pull across lanes. It is time to make this area safe for both pedestrians and car traffic.
