Wasilla resident Timothy Abiga Metcalf, 50, died April 12, 2005 at Valley Hospital in Palmer, from complications resulting from surgery. A memorial service was held April 18 at Valley Funeral Home, with Pastor Jerry Burton officiating.
Mr. Metcalf was born in Clayton, Mo., on Nov. 19, 1954. He moved to Chugiak in 1969. He married Julie, his wife of 26 years, in October 1978.
His brother, Clay Wofford, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Julie Metcalf of Wasilla; daughter, Megan Metcalf of Wasilla; mother, Alma Metcalf of Palmer; brother, Allen Lee Metcalf of Palmer; sister, Jean Carson of Kodiak; nephews, Allen Clayton Metcalf of Palmer, Timothy James Metcalf of Wasilla, David Carson of Kodiak and Casey Carson of Washington, and nieces, Nicole Metcalf of Palmer and Cherie Osowski of Kodiak. Arrangements were with Valley Funeral Home & Crematory in Wasilla.
