To the editor: Senator Murkowski must vote down Kavanaugh's Supreme Court appointment.

Senator Murkowski must vote down Kavanaugh's Supreme Court appointment. He will not safeguard indigenous people's rights or women's healthcare and abortion rights.

It is absolutely imperative that we safeguard Roe v. Wade. The power structure is shifting towards equality, but the far right has thrown up a smokescreen on the morality of abortion. As Senator Murkowski knows, if you think abortion is immoral, no one will force you abort your child even if you do not plan to keep it. Additionally, there is no back up of support from the far right once you choose to have a baby and are below the poverty level. It is absurd to believe that there is any truth to the morality issue of abortion when the care of our future citizens and the parent is neglected and purposely disintegrated once childbirth occurs.
