To the Walmart customer who turned in my purse

To the editor:

To the Walmart customer who found a purse in the parking lot on April 4 and brought it to Customer Service — thank you! I could think of no way to tell you what this meant to me, so I am hoping this message will find you.

Your honesty and integrity are wonderful character traits. Your act was surprising and selfless. In short, you are an amazing person.

An older woman stores everything in her purse: calendar, phone and address book, pictures, everything. All of which would have taken much time, energy, and resources to find and replace. Thank you again for taking your time to place this integral part of my life in a safe place. Thank you for noticing it and taking action. Thank you.
