Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Todd Douglas Cook, 42, died Feb. 3, 2006, in Wasilla.
A cremation has taken place and his ashes will be scattered in his favorite places in Talkeetna. Memorial services will be held later.
Mr. Cook graduated from Michigan Center High School in 1981.
He joined the Marines, served four years and went to Alaska, where he was a programmer for the National Bank of Alaska in Anchorage. He then went to Talkeetna to work.
Mr. Cook enjoyed music and participated in blues radio NPR.
His loved ones wrote, “He had an insatiable quest for knowledge and understanding that he satisfied by reading the works of the great thinkers of our times.”
Mr. Cook is survived by his loving parents, Douglas Lee Cook and Charmayne J. Cook and brother, Scott D. Cook.
He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Dana Cook, and many aunts and uncles.
