Tone doesn’t fit Van Susteren

To the editor:

I just read this article (TV celebrity does a good deed) that seemed to imply some abnormal “fascination” with Governor Palin on the part of Greta Van Susteren.

I have been an avid blogger on Greta’s blog for more than eight months and can assure you, she reports what she knows her viewers ask for.

We, in the Lower 48, love your governor and are always very pleased to hear about her accomplishments and have always been very happy when Greta shares stories with us.

With that said, I would think you would have been more kind in your wording of this article.

Greta was the only journalist who always stood up for Gov. Palin when she was being so unfairly treated in the media and I am fairly certain she does not even share Gov. Palin’s political views.

So, I am assuming you either didn’t re-read the article you printed to get an idea of its tone, or you are not aware of Greta’s placing this newspaper on her blogroll. Either way, it seemed much like a “backhanded” compliment and she deserved much more appreciation and kindness.
