Pastor Robert (Bob) and Flora Tornquist of Palmer Church of God will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 9, 2014, with a recommitment ceremony followed by a reception.
They met in Lawton, Oklahoma, in 1963 while Pastor Bob was stationed in the Army at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
They married on Aug. 15, 1964, at the Lawton Church of God, in Lawton Oklahoma.
Pastor Bob and Flora have served as pastors in many states for more then 40 years, starting with Ohio and currently here in Alaska.
They have been blessed with a son, daughter, three granddaughters and one grandson.
In their faithful commitment to God and one another, they would like to thank everyone for partaking in this wonderful and amazing journey that the Lord has led them through, looking forward to many more years to come.
