How to thank everyone that has shared with me since my diagnosis of breast cancer is a difficult task. I have been overwhelmed and moved to tears by the outpouring of calls, prayers, food, gifts and goodwill coming from the community.
The silent auction and benefit at Vagabond Blues was a much needed and appreciated financial boost that has eased my mind about money worries. My time at Mat-Su Regional Hospital undergoing a double mastectomy brought the point home — neighbors really do help neighbors.
So now as I begin round two with chemotherapy treatments, I’ll start cutting hair again (probably soon, minus my own hair) and begin to get my life back. All the while I am encouraged by the love and support I have been shown. Thank you, each and every one of you.
