MAT-SU — Monday’s evening commute was graced with a trio of car crashes, all on a short section of the Palmer-Wasilla Highway.
The largest happened when a car pulled out of the Schwabenhof parking lot, Alaska State Trooper Ryan Bowen said.
A car traveling west on the highway rear-ended the first car, and a third car hit the second.
Two people were transported to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, Bowen said.
A second accident of exactly the same type happened at almost the same time not 300 yards east of the first. Two cars rear- ended a third as it was turning west onto the highway. No one was injured.
Lastly, a third accident happened further west on the highway when one car rear-ended another. No one was hurt, and the damage to the cars was minimal.
