HOUSTON — Houston police are searching for three men believed connected to a shooting at Mile 53 Parks Highway that sent a local man to the hospital Tuesday.
Houston Police Department Capt. John Rhyshek said he’s asked law enforcement agencies to keep their eyes peeled for two white men who left the house soon after the shooting in a black pickup. Rhyshek said he is also looking for a man who fled when police arrived who may have witnessed the event. Rhyshek said the man likely fled because he had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest.
As of Thursday’s press time, nobody had been located or arrested in connection with the shooting, Rhyshek said.
Christopher Green, 37, the man who lived at the house at Mile 53, was shot shortly before 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Houston police report. He suffered a single gunshot wound to the lower abdomen. Green was reportedly in stable condition.
Houston is working with Wasilla police investigators in the case, Rhyshek said., adding Green has been interviewed multiple times but has also been undergoing medical treatments that have required doctors to administer medications.
“As his mind’s clearing up he’s being able to provide more information,” Rhyshek said.
Rhyshek said police are working to determine what events led to the shooting. He said there is no initial indication anything was stolen from the house.
