WASILLA — An Alaska State Trooper ran over a stop sign Friday.
According to trooper reports, Rick Sawyer, 26, of Palmer, was driving his 2007 Ford Crown Victoria patrol car westbound on Bogard Road near Ashmore Avenue when he made an attempt to turn around.
Sawyer, “was unable to avoid colliding with the stop sign,” states the press release, penned by a different trooper.
Troopers estimate damage to Sawyer’s patrol car at $850.
