WASILLA — Nearly a year after the burglary, Alaska State Troopers busted a man for stealing guns.
Jimmy Verley, 26, of Palmer, faces a single burglary count, and two counts each of second-degree theft and fourth-degree drugs misconduct, according to court documents and the Alaska State Troopers.
Victims reported the original burglary about Jan. 25, 2014 along Earl Drive. Troopers with the Palmer Post’s Criminal Suppression Unit arrested Verley about 9:30 p.m. New Year’s Eve and transported him to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility on a $3,000 bail according to a Troopers press release.
During his arrest, they also found he was in possession of heroin and methamphetamine, according to the release.
Verley had bonded out of custody by Saturday afternoon.
