WASILLA — Gary Brown wasn’t home when Alaska State Troopers showed up to arrest him on a warrant. But he before they left he pulled into the driveway — and troopers say he was drunk.
According to an AST press statement, the warrant service was to go down at 12:33 a.m., Wednesday on Williwaw Way.
Troopers were looking for Brown, 45, when he rolled up in his silver 2001 Dodge Ram.
“Investigation revealed that Brown was driving while license revoked and driving under the influence of alcohol,” troopers report.
If he’s convicted, this would be his third DUI in 10 years and thus a felony-level charge. Compared to that, his warrant — failure to appear on criminal mischief and trespassing charges with a $500 bail amount — was relatively minor. He was jailed at the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility on $15,500 bail. Jail records Thursday afternoon showed he was still there.
