GIRDWOOD — A Wasilla woman has died following a car accident Wednesday on the Seward Highway.
Alaska State Troopers identified Margie Thompson, 34, of Wasilla as the driver of a Chevy Van northbound near Mile 88, Seward Highway at about 8:30 p.m., July 9 when it crossed the southbound lane of the highway, struck a guardrail, and rolled over. Thompson was ejected from the van, and pronounced dead at the scene, according to trooper dispatches.
Thompson’s body was transported to the State Medical Examiner’s office. The van was impounded, authorities said.
