PALMER — Early Tuesday morning, just before 6 a.m., Alaska State Troopers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a spray painted charcoal sedan at the Glenn and Parks Highway interchange. The driver of the vehicle eluded troopers onto Trunk Road and then to Cottrell Circle and crashed into a field, though the car did not roll. The suspect then fled the vehicle.
The car had been reported stolen out of Eagle River and troopers attempted to set up a perimeter to apprehend the suspect. The suspect was not found as of Tuesday evening.
This is a developing story.
