WASILLA — A package headed to a Wasilla woman turned out to contain $5,600 worth of heroin.

According to Alaska State Troopers, investigators intercepted the package on Wednesday. Hidden inside they found 14 grams of heroin with an estimated street value of about $5,600.

On Friday, troopers searched the home the package was headed to and contacted its intended recipient, Hayley Selmont, 21.

“During the search warrant service, investigators located a small amount of additional heroin,” according to the press release.

Selmont was charged with two counts of drug misconduct and jailed at the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility on $25,000 bail. As of Monday afternoon she’d bailed out of jail.
