PALMER — Two Honda TRX 420 four-wheelers were recovered near Wasilla after at least two people cut through a fence at Hartley Motors and stole the vehicles.
Alaska State Troopers responded around 4:20 a.m., Wednesday to investigate the theft.
The thieves removed the four-wheelers from their crates, filled them with gas and drove them away, troopers report.
Around 5 a.m., troopers left the scene and located the two stolen four-wheelers in the wood line near the intersection of Hyer Road and Blue Lupine, off the Parks Highway near Wasilla.
The four wheelers were returned to the business. Troopers’ investigation continues.
