Alaska State Troopers (AST) has released the name of a Wasilla man killed in a Tuesday afternoon accident near mile six of Knik-Goose Bay Road (KGB).
According to AST dispatch, 37-year old Daniel Alexander was one of nine individuals involved in a two-vehicle collision on KGB near Foothills and died of his injuries in route to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center.
According to reports, Alexander was driving of a southbound 1993 Toyota Tacoma pickup when it crossed the centerline striking a northbound 2002 Chevrolet Suburban driven by 30-year old Curtis Tucker of Wasilla.
Reports state Alexander, and a child in a car seat, were ejected from the vehicle.
The passenger was flown to Providence Medical Center in Anchorage for what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. Tucker and five passengers in the Suburban were transported to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center.
The deceased’s next of kin have been notified.
