Troopers seek armed suspect who held up Miller’s Market

HOUSTON — Alaska State Troopers are seeking a man they say used a shotgun to rob a convenience store Tuesday.

According to an AST press statement, the robbery was reported at 6:19 p.m. at Miller’s Market off of the Parks Highway in Houston.

“A male wearing a black ski mask, green hoodie and tan Carhartt pants walked into the store carrying a shotgun and demanded money from the employees,” according to the press release.

No one was hurt, troopers report, and although employees said the man “waved around” the shotgun, he didn’t actually point it at anyone. Upon receiving money from the till, the man left. The clerks said they didn’t see which way he went.

The clerks say the man was in his early 20s with brown hair and dark eyes. Anyone with information is asked to call troopers at 352-5401.
