WASILLA — A Wisconsin man missing since August may be in the Wasilla area, authorities say.

Roger H. Yaeger, 72, of Eagle River, Wisconsin, was last seen visiting family Aug. 8, 2014, near Wasilla, according to an Alaska State Troopers press release.

Troopers say his rental car has returned in Fairbanks no latter than Aug. 10.

There is no record of Yaeger flying out of Alaska, troopers said.

Yaeger was in Alaska to view wildlife and told his family he planned to update them on his plans at Christmas. Family members contacted troopers a few weeks ago after he failed to respond to email, troopers said.

Anyone with information should contact troopers at 907-451-5100.
