WASILLA -- Alaska State Troopers seized a marijuana-grow operation Saturday near Wasilla after investigators in the area detected a strong odor of marijuana.
About an hour before midnight on Saturday, Dec. 11, Trooper Kevin Baker found the alleged source of the odor and contacted the Mat-Su Drug Unit. Investigators responded and seized 16 plants, harvested marijuana, related growing equipment and other drug paraphernalia.
No arrests have been made, troopers reported, but three charges of fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance will be forwarded to the Palmer district attorney's office.
