Troopers: Woodruff Loop fire likely arson

WASILLA — Alaska State Troopers are alleging it was an arsonist who set fire to a home north of Wasilla Saturday.

According to an AST press statement, the fire was reported at 1:25 a.m. at a home on Woodruff Loop.

“Investigation revealed unknown suspects started a criminal fire inside the residence causing approximately $10,000 damage to the property,” according to a troopers press statement.

Anyone who knows anything about the fire is asked to call troopers at 745-2131 or, to remain anonymous, Mat-Su Crime Stoppers at 745-3333.
