PALMER — A wheel fell off a pickup Sunday, causing a wreck that sent one person to the hospital.
According to a press release from Alaska State Troopers, just before 5:30 p.m., Brandi Johnson, 37, of Anchorage, was behind the wheel of a 1977 Dodge pickup heading southbound near Mile 37, Glenn Highway.
A rear wheel broke loose of the pickup and hit a northbound 2007 Volkswagen driven by Gloria Hunsuck, 58, of Palmer, who was later hospitalized with injuries troopers report were not life-threatening.
Troopers ticketed Johnson for driving an unsafe vehicle.
