MEADOW LAKES — Trying to steal the same car twice and succeeding once landed a 29-year-old woman in jail Tuesday.
According to a press release from Alaska State Troopers, Brandi L. Slover is believed to have broken into a motor home parked at a home off of Meadow Lakes Loop Sunday.
Inside the motor home, troopers say, she found keys to a nearby Oldsmobile.
Troopers say she took off with the car, which was recovered the next day and returned to its owner.
Then, at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, “Slover returned to the residence and attempted to steal the Oldsmobile. Slover was detained by the homeowner until troopers arrived.”
Troopers say she was jailed at the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility on $5,000 bail and she’ll need to find a third party to watch her before she can be released. Jail records Wednesday afternoon showed she was still incarcerated.
