PALMER — The Kenai Twins needed a late push to complete a doubleheader sweep Tuesday in Kenai.
The Twins scored twice in both the sixth and seventh innings to earn a 6-5 win over the Pioneers in the second of the two games. Kenai notched a 4-1 win earlier in the day.
In the second game, Palmer led until Kenai tied the game at 3 in the fifth. The Pioneers also plated a run in both the sixth and seventh innings.
Carson McLauglin, Zach Satterly and Bryant Marks each finished with an RBI during the 6-5 loss. McLaughlin also scored twice.
Earlier in the day, Luke Guggenmos drove in Evan Walker for the Pioneers.
Palmer returns home to host North Pole Friday at 6:30 p.m.
