Two cars hit two moose

Here are some things that are usually true about a vehicle versus moose collision:

• it’s just one moose and one car.

• the car is disabled.

• the moose is killed.

None of those things were true of the moose collision the Wasilla Police Department investigated on Dec. 10 on the Parks Highway near McCalister Drive.

Instead, according to police, two vehicles — the drivers involved were Robert Grieve and Forrest Rogne — hit two moose.

“There was little to no damage to either of the vehicles and the moose left under their own power,” police say, which is possibly the happiest ending to a moose-vs-car story.
