Two injured after plane crash in Big Lake

The Alaska State Troopers (AST) were notified of a small plane crash at Big Lake Airport on June 24, just after 9:30 a.m. AST and emergency crews responded to the incident.

According to an online dispatch, two men were aboard the aircraft, with the adult male pilot and an adult male passenger taken to a Mat-Su area hospital with serious injuries.

The National Transportation Safety Board has been notified.

The aircraft involved is a Piper PA-32R-300, a single-engine plane with retractable landing gear and can seat up to six people.

AST are on the scene and are investigating the incident.
